You Must have
Passport
Don't forget this!!
Japanese Yen Cash
Still some places, the Credit Card isn't accepted. So, you need to bring cash in case.
Internet
You need to get the internet for phone use. There is no public Wi-Fi outside. I recommend getting e-SIM instead of pockets Wi-Fi. You can get at the airport, or from your phone line company.
Visa
Depends on your country, you need to get a Visa before you get in Japan.

International Credit Card
When you use your Card in Japan, the international fee is processing. You can avoid them by using international card such as Capital One, Wise, Travel card.
Airplane Tickets
ANA or JAL provide a fancy and high-quality service. You can try them as a part of Japan experience! Their service is so much professional.
You Might Want
Travel Insurance
I want to say this is MUST to bring. If you get injured or the accident in Japan, you need to pay a lot of money without the insurance.
Comfy shoes
You will walk A LOT in Japan, especially if you use trains as transportation. You should bring shoes you're used to wear.
Shampoo and Conditioner
Most of hotel have them, but some places such as local hot spring doesn't have them so you can bring in small containers.

Almost all Japanese people, especially in countryside, don't speak English. It's better if you have spoken base translator (ex. Google translator)
International Driver Licance
If you rent a car and drive in Japan, you need to get the international driver license. You can get it in your country, usually there is one around your Neiborhood.
Eco Bag
Many stores in Japan don't give you plastic bags for free nowadays (It costs 5 yen to 10 yen). You should bring your own bag. It's good idea to purchase a one in Japan.
